A city. Loud. Dirty. Restless. People passing by. Streets, buildings, voices. And somewhere in between, a girl who doesn’t know where to go.
Naria. She walks. Until the city suddenly disappears. No explanation. No transition. Just another place.

Memories emerge. Images that feel familiar, even though they shouldn’t be here. Scenes begin and break apart again. A thought falls silent in the middle of a sentence. And whenever Naria thinks she has found a way, the world changes again. Only one thing remains.

A fly follows her. An annoying little shadow. A reflection of herself.

ROOTS AND WINGS

The world of *Naria And The Fly …Waiting For Lunch* doesn’t follow a straight line. It follows the logic of a dream. Places return and suddenly look different. Memories merge with perception. Characters appear, disappear and leave traces behind.

In the music, too. The central characters have their own musical leitmotifs. As their paths cross and become increasingly intertwined, their motifs begin to change with them — merging, transforming and finding their way into one another. Sometimes barely recognizable. Sometimes as if they had been there all along. Maybe Naria is searching for a way out. Maybe she is searching for herself. Maybe there is no difference.

Naria And The Fly …Waiting For Lunch grew out of Marc’s notes of recurring childhood dreams and became the starting point for the world of Naria. A concept double album about memory and perception, about gravity and weightlessness. About what holds us down. And what learns to fly.
